23 semestrial vol. large in-8° in full purple percaline of the publisher (61st to 84th volume of the collection except the 83rd). White edges (gilt for the second semester 1906). No mention of binder. Some volumes have tomes or dates on the spine.
This is the semi-annual version of the 2nd series of the Magasin, probably executed at the express request of the amateurs who could not give up the original blue and then purple binding of the 1st series, replaced since 1895 by the red and gold annual bindings of the widow Fernandez (see the next two lots). Eric Weissenberg had only collected about ten of them... and it took Pierre Jacob more than two decades of hard work to achieve this, although he still lacked the first half of 1906. Let us underline that the complete year is proposed here (lot n°23) in violet cardboard of the widow Fernandez!
Some various accidents including to some endpapers. Spine of volume 24 faded. Otherwise good general condition. Very rare !
