LOUIS DELACHENAL (1897 - 1966)
Louis Delachenal is a French ceramist born in 1897, with a fruitful career, at the same time researcher, inventor and concerned with work well done.
After the years of training in Ferney-Voltaire in the workshop of Paul Bonifas, comes the period of great activity at the national manufacture of Sevres which begins in 1924.
From 1932 he directed the earthenware workshop of the Manufacture.
In 1942 he opened a stoneware factory in Saint-Méen-le-Grand on the advice of his friend Mathurin Méheut.
The collection that we present to you comes directly from the family of the artist.
From the numerous and varied pieces that it constitutes it reflects the universe of Louis Delachenal.
His ceramics are characterized by varied forms, most often pure and lines playing on curves and roundness.
