Grand objet décoratif lourd en bronze moulé vert en forme de phénix. L’animal mythologique étend sa longue queue plumée et porte dans ses griffes une plaque plate figurant l’emblème aux wistéria 5-7-5. Provient probablement d’un temple bouddhiste. Période Edo. H. : env. 91 cm; l. : 72 cm; Prof. : 13,5 cm. Large and heavy cast green bronze ornament in the shape of a phoenix-bird with its long tail feathers spread to the left and right. The bird has in its claws a flat 5-7-5 wisteria crest plate, probably of a Buddhist temple. Edo Period.
