Avec une bouche ouverte et finement peint. Le front est orné d’un ruban confectionné en cordelettes de papier tressé (mizuhiki porte-bonheur). Peint avec de la peinture gofun (poudre confectionnée en réduisant en poudre fine des coquilles d’huitres). Sans restauration et avec quelque usure. Sur un socle en bois. Fin période Edo. In his left hand he holds the head of a hobby horse, a popular plaything among Chinese and Japanese children. With open mouth and painted details. The forehead has a painted presentation ribbon (auspicious mizuhiki ). Covered with white shell paste (gofun). Unrestored with some wear. On a wooden base. Late Edo Period.
