Debout sur une colline verte, elle tient à la main une arme. Sur cette peinture, la déesse Shinto Amaterasu symbolise également la représentation du dieu Bouddhiste Daiichi Nyorai, grand soleil. Remonté et dans une boite double. Quelques petites imperfections. H.: 162 cm, l.: 52 cm Edo period polychrome Tosa style hanging scroll (kakejiku) depicting the Shinto and Buddhist goddess Amaterasu omikami standing upright on a green hill with a hand resting on a weapon. (Ryobu shinto: the Shinto gods and the Buddha's are considered to be manifestations of each other. Here the Shinto sun goddess Amaterasu is at the same time the Buddhist Daiichi nyorai, The Great Sun). Remounted, in a double box. Some imperfections.
