Très grand et très rare modèle en bois d'un sabre légèrement plié, avec tsuba et manche, le tout dans un fourreau. L'extrémité du manche se termine par une tête sculptée d'un phoenix. On peut lire entre le fourreau et le manche l'inscription.: «Atago jinja» et la date (attribuée).; Genko san (1333). L'année 1333 est importante dans l'histoire du Japon car c'est l'année où le pays est en pleine tourmente.: Kamakura est détruite et la régence du clan Hojo touche à sa fin. Le temple Atago jinja à Kyoto, fondé au début du VIIIème siècle, est à la tête d'environ 99 temples shinto.
