Très grande boite à papier (ryoshibako) laquée noire aux bords arrondis. Décor en laque dorée maki-e en relief figurant des chrysanthèmes, des motifs de carapace de tortue et de grues, le tout agrémenté de quelques touches de rouge. L'intérieur de la boite est garni de papier blanc-rouge. Dans sa boite d'origine avec le sceau de Miyake Riemon (de Tokyo). Début période Showa. H.: 16 cm, env. 44 x 36,5 cm. Very large black lacquered paper box with rounded corners (ryoshibako) decorated with chrysanthemums, tortoise shell and crane motives in raised gold maki-e lacquer with some red. Inside the box is lined with white-red paper, in original store-box with the seal of Miyake Riemon in Tokyo. Early Showa period
