Grande figurine en bois doré représentant Kannon le visage finement sculpté. Le personnage est debout sur un haut socle, devant une mandorle. Son index et son pouce se touchent presque pour former le geste du salut et du réconfort (Abhaya). Dans l'autre main il tient un lotus. Kannon: Période Edo. Socle et mandorle: possiblement de la période Meiji. Kannon: H.: 46 cm, L'ensemble: 72 cm Large gilded wooden Kannon with a fine carved face standing in front of a mandorla on a high pedestal, the thumb and index finger of the right hand almost touching each other (abhaya or reassuring gesture) while holding a lotus in the other hand.
