Importante statue de grande taille en bois doré représentant Amida (Amitabha) Bouddha. Debout sur une base ronde en forme de lotus (yaerengeza) devant une mandorle décorée de volutes florales en relief. La statue a un visage finement sculpté et porte une «pierre» blanche sous le ushnisha (protubérance sur la tête) et entre ses yeux (hyakugo, sanskrit: urna). Une des mains est en l'air alors que l'autre pointe vers le sol, formant ainsi le geste vitarka (ou raiko) signifiant l'accueil de bienvenue des âmes au paradis (Jôdô or Sanskrit: Sukhavati).
