Seishi arbore une tête joliment sculptée et il se penche légèrement en avant sur ses genoux tout en maintenant ses mains pliées devant sa poitrine. Son costume est doré tandis que son corps est garni d'une dorure de couleur plus foncée. La statue appartenait à l'origine à un groupe de type Amida sanson; Bouddha Amida accompagné de Bodhisattva Kannon et de Seishi. Quelques restaurations. Période Edo.

Gilded wooden Seishi bosatsu (Sanskrit: Mahasthamaprapta), the bodhisattva who bestows Wisdom to break the bonds of his devotees. Seishi has a very fine carved head and with his knees he bents slightly forward while folding his hands in front of his breast. The garment is gilded, the body with a darker shade of gold. Originally part of an Amida sanson group: Buddha Amida accompanied by bodhisattva Kannon and Seishi. Some restorations. Edo Period.
